General FAQ
When switching between RGB and CMYK colors, you may notice slight color changes due to their different gamut ranges.
CMYK is a color format used primarily in the printing industry. RGB and CMYK are two different ways of representing colors, and each has a different gamut (or range) of colors they support. CMYK supports fewer colors than RGB. This means that an RGB color can't always be represented in CMYK because the color is not within the CMYK gamut's range of values.

Magnifier FAQ
ColorSlurp never tracks you or stores your data. In order for the magnifier to access colors from your screen, ColorSlurp needs to be able to see it, which is why it asks for screen recording permission.
When picking a color, the magnifier takes a small 32x32 pixel screenshot in the center of where the magnifier is located, then zooms and displays the image and gets the color from it. This only happens when the magnifier is visible and the mouse is moved. The image is never saved and ColorSlurp does not store any screen recording data.
Unfortunately Apple combines screen and audio recording into a single permission, and has not allowed developers to only request accessing the screen when the app is in use.

Most likely this is from a color profile mismatch.
In order to pick accurate colors, you must make sure that your display, your application, and ColorSlurp all use the same color profile. If you’ve picked a color from an image and the values are not correct, most likely the image’s color profile is different.
